WhatSchool Celebrates
Find your special schoolchange phase

WhatSchool has done the heavy lifting to help you gain the recognition you deserve!

We have analysed the data you provide to the Department for Education, reviewed every Ofsted report, looked at every school website, drawn on information from local authorities, and imported the Census and the recently published Indices of Multiple Deprivation. From all of it we have built a research-backed model to truly understand how your school is performing in context - then compared that with every school nationally, across your local authority, in your local community, and against schools facing a similar context to yours. That helps you understand exactly what you are doing great at, compared with every other school facing a similar context to yours.

What you’ll see

What we have found for your school

When you open a school, we show what the published evidence says it is genuinely great at - and exactly how each recognition is framed and where the school stands. If something looks wrong, you can ask us to review it.

What you're great at, found for you

The published figures, read in the context your school works in, tell us what it should be celebrated for - strongest first. We have done that heavy lifting so you do not have to.

Four fair comparisons

Each strength is read nationally, across your local authority, by town and against schools with a similar published context - so you see exactly where your school genuinely stands, measured fairly.

Earned, never bought

Recognition is drawn from the published evidence and the work we have done to read it in context. You cannot pay to win one - and if anything looks wrong, you can ask us to review it.

Earned from the evidence, not paid for
Eligibility is identified from what is published about every school - the figures the DfE publishes read alongside the published context each school works in, drawing on its own website, local authority information, the Census and local measures of need such as deprivation (IMD) - so every recognition is specific, fair and genuinely earned.
